Chaos and Complex Systems Discussion Group
University of Wisconsin - Madison
The Chaos and
Complex Systems Discussion Group is a weekly, campus-wide,
multidisciplinary discussion series at the University of Wisconsin - Madison
on the new sciences of chaos and complexity. Discussions span a wide
range of topics including computer science, mathematics, economics,
biology, meteorology, psychology, and physics. They are aimed at a
non-expert but scientific audience, and everyone is welcome to
attend. Most discussions are held at the Memorial Union, on the
Terrace in good weather but otherwise indoors in a room posted on
Today in the Union at the building entrance. The series is organized
by a volunteer steering committee consisting of Robin Chapman
(Communicative Disorders), Peter Sobol (Wisconsin Public Media), Clint Sprott (Physics), Bob Wilson
(Mathematics), and John Young (Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences).
